Students applying for American Legion Scholarship:

Your application with the essay, resume, letter of recommendation and latest report card / transcript to be emailed by midnight 8 January 2025. This will allow us the plenty of time to evaluate the submissions and forward our winner to 9th District.
The essay and resume must be emailed in Word format. CB students DO NOT email from the school. The document will automatically reformat to PDF which is unacceptable. I suggest that before you email your application to me email the documents to yourself and your parents to be sure it comes through correctly.
We require the essay and resume in Word format in case you are rushing the deadline and you make a horrific mistake. I can easily correct such mistakes rather than driving you crazy at the last minute for a correction.
I will correct minor typos; I will not correct the format. Follow the directions.
Give us YOUR thoughts on “Is the American Dream Still Relevant Today?” Do not try to tell us what you think we want to hear. The American Legion is not a homogenous organization afflicted with group think. In the Doylestown post we have veterans of quite varied backgrounds and opinions.
