Donate – Building Renovations

Over the past 2 ½ years, the Post Membership has raised approximately 50% of the $750,000 needed for repair and renovations of the Post Building, which was built in 1933. Specific projects include:

• New Roof
• Windows throughout the facility (windows are original!)
• Kitchen renovation
• AC units (existing ones are 25 years old)
• Floor tiles throughout main floor
• New Ceiling in main hall

The Post building is not only a home for veterans, but other also non-profit organizations that the Atkinson Post supports in utilizing the building for meetings and gatherings. Those local organizations are:

• American Legion Baseball Team
• Civil Air Patrol Sq. 907
• Alcoholic Anonymous
• Meghan’s Foundation
• Emergency gathering center for local church
• Scouting America – Troop 169
• The Lions Club
• Auxiliary Unit 210
• American Red Cross
